Fun with Clay

We had a great time with polymer clay last week. We had 7 children at our house aged 6-11 all concentrating and creating some wonderful works! It was any easy afternoon project and every age was able to participate. We pooled everyone's clay contributions and there was a lot of cooperation and pleasant compliments for and from everyone. I made something, too. A fairy door. It was so much fun and minimal mess! We're looking forward to doing it again.

Not Socks...In Other News...

I finished my socks. I love them! I've got to get a picture of them to share so for now, they have to wait. I can't blog without a picture! It's just not in me. So for now...

Before Ingrid's next chemo, we were able to squeeze in a trip to the Cranbrook Science Center! I just love how beautifully everything is presented.

Then, when we checked in to the hospital, they just happened to be having an Easter party! Ingrid got all painted up at the party by the face painter. She loved it. That is a dragon on her cheek and bunnies and painted eggs on her arms. That was a fun time. He was really talented. There was also a DJ and some treats.
Happy Spring! Happy Easter!

Logophiles feed the hungry!

Apparently, I'm a logophile. I love words. If I see words, I have to read them. I have to. This tends to cause a bit of car-sickness when I am on a trip. It's best for me to just fall asleep when I am the passenger. Anyway, the point here is this - click on the pic above to test your vocabulary and the advertisers for the site donate rice to feed the hungry for every word you get right! I was surprised at how many words I knew or could figure out! This is probably good for stimulating the brain and stalling the onset of any of the old age brain afflictions. Give it a try!
